The Mission of R Way is to provide quality community based mental health
services in an efficient, person friendly manner.
R Way was established in 1990 to provide
psychiatric rehabilitation services to persons
disabled by a severe or persistent mental illness (SPMI). These
consumers have a high recidivism
rate or have been hospitalized for a long
period of time. They have a history of failing to
adjust to life outside of an institution.
R Way’s psychiatric rehabilitation services focus on empowering the consumer to live a life of quality and dignity. They are designed and provided to :
- develop the best individualized rehabilitation approach for the consumer,
- enable them to attain the highest level of functioning possible,
- assist them in learning skills to overcome the barriers created by the disability,
- develop/restore skills required to successfully live independently in the community.
